How to find all my subscriptions.

Updated

Check four places. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play subscriptions. Then search your email for “receipt”, “renewal” and “your subscription”, and scan the last two or three months of bank and card statements for recurring charges.

The first two catch anything billed through Apple or Google. Email and statements catch the rest, like services you pay directly or through PayPal.

With Premium, We Both can read your Gmail or Outlook and turn the subscriptions it finds into bills with reminders, and on the free plan you can add each one as a recurring bill yourself.

The plan: $1,814 left, $605 a day for 3 more days

On your iPhone

If you share purchases with family, check each adult’s Apple account too.

  • Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap a subscription to see its price, renewal date and plan. This list covers subscriptions billed through Apple.

On Android and Google Play

  • On your Android device, open subscriptions in Google Play (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions).
  • Or open Settings, tap Google, tap your name, tap Manage your Google Account, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Manage subscriptions.
  • Sign in to every Google account you have used. A subscription may sit under a different one.

In your email: Gmail, Outlook or anything else

Services that bill you directly send an email each time. Search your inbox, including the archive and spam, for these words and note every sender that shows up more than once:

  • “receipt” and “your receipt”
  • “renewal” and “will renew”
  • “your subscription”
  • “trial” and “trial ends”
  • “invoice” and “payment received”

On your statements

Open your last two or three months of bank and credit card statements. Look for the same merchant name appearing at the same amount each month, or once a year. Annual charges are easy to miss, so go back twelve months if you can. This step also catches subscriptions that never sent a clear email.

Keep the list once you have it

In We Both, add each subscription as a recurring bill with its amount and due date. You get reminders before it renews, each person in the house can see it, and you can pick who pays it. When you cancel one, mark it cancelled so it stops showing up. We Both does not cancel anything for you. You still cancel with the service or in Apple or Google settings.

With Premium, you can connect Gmail or Outlook. We Both reads it to find subscriptions and receipts, never sends email from your Gmail, and turns the subscriptions it finds into bills with reminders, and the receipts into expenses you confirm. Free to start. Premium is one subscription for the whole house: $9.99 a month in the US, less on the 3-month plan.

Questions people ask

How do I find all my subscriptions in Gmail?

Search Gmail for “receipt”, “renewal”, “your subscription” and “trial”, and include All Mail and Spam. Look for senders that appear on a regular schedule.

Why is a subscription missing from my iPhone list?

It is probably billed outside Apple, directly by the company or through PayPal. Check your email and your card statements instead.

Can We Both cancel my subscriptions?

No. It tracks them as bills, reminds you before they renew, and lets you mark one cancelled once you have cancelled it with the service.

Does We Both need my bank login to find subscriptions?

No. We Both has no bank connection. With Premium it reads your Gmail or Outlook to find them, and on the free plan you add subscriptions yourself.
